We have come to the ‘quiet’ time of the day. Through the purple sheers on the window in our back bedroom, we enjoy a bright orange sunset. I have put in my shift at the BP station, Hubby made dinner, and I cleaned up the kitchen afterward. Now it’s time to kick back and enjoy a leisurely evening at home. We call it “Cocooning”.
Sometimes there is some good TV watching; NCIS, CSI, Law and Order, Criminal Minds… do you get the sense that we enjoy cop shows? Right now everything on TV is a rerun. With it staying lighter longer, we feel a bit more productive. Hubby is working on his computer project – he’s been at it for months now. I have gone back to an old hobby of sewing tote bags out of upholstery scraps. Our church is having a craft sale in a few weeks to raise money for the Cancer Society. I’m on my fifth tote now.
Mandy is waiting *patiently* to go out for her nightly romp in the field across the street. Lately she has become a bit more vocal (in case we hadn’t noticed the time). She sounds like a disgruntled teenager muttering.
All in all, it was a good day.
